The Epworth Fire Department Members would like to honor and thank the over 23.2 million military veterans nationwide for their service to our great country. We also thank the active military personnel who continue to protect our freedom that we enjoy every day. We thank you and your families for dedication to serve our community, state and country. In Epworth, we are fortunate to have a great working relationship with the American Legion John White Post #650. The legion members have always supported the fire department when we asked for their assistance with fund raising or any other community event the department was involved in. As with many small communities, numerous people serve on many organizations. We would like to thank all of the members of the American Legion John White Post and would especially like to thank those legion members who are also honorary (retired) members of the Epworth Fire Department. Those members include Ron Connolly, Ike Berger, Vince Kramer, Marc Lahey, Rick Boffeli, Jim Kean, Geo Pate and Mike Schmitt. We also remember our deceased veterans Roy Ross and Phil Silker.
