At 1450 hours on Saturday, December 26th, 2015 the Epworth Fire and EMS were paged by Dubuque County Dispatch of a rollover accident that occurred on North Cascade Road just west of Swiss Valley Road. This was just East of the Epworth Fire Station located on Royal Wood Drive and one of our firefighters witnessed the accident. There were three occupants in the vehicle with minor injuries. Two of the victims were able to crawl out of the vehicle and the driver had to be extricated with the power tools in order to free her from the car. All occupants were belted in the vehicle and the vehicle was equipped with side airbags that obviously minimized the injuries to the occupants. The driver was transported to Unity Point Finley Hospital to be checked out for minor injuries. The road remained closed for approximately 30 minutes.
