On Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 the Dubuque Racing Association announced the Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen and the Epworth Community Fire Department will receive funds through the DRA's 2010 annual grant program. The Dubuque Racing Association distributes funds from its operation annually and the DRA operates Mystique Casino and is the sponsoring co-licensee for the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque Iowa. The Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen were awarded a $3,500.00 grant to purchase updated CPR mannequins, training supplies and also supplies for the community automated external defibrillators throughout the Epworth district.
