On Wednesday, October 27th at 2:44 PM the Epworth Fire Department received a page from the Dubuque County E911 Communications Center for a hazardous materials service call for an overturned milk truck on Hartbecke Road southwest of Epworth. The incident was on Hartbecke Road about 1/2 mile south of US Highway 20. Eight members of the department responded to the scene along with local law enforcement. The department stood by to assist while the milk was transferred to another truck and the towing company uprighted the vehicle. The driver of the truck was not injured. Crews were on scene for over 4 hours.
