The Epworth Fire Department would like to thank the following people for striving to be the best.

Brett Featherston is currently taking the Firefighter I program. It is taught and certified by the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau. Classes are being held at the Dubuque County Emergency Responders Training Facility.

Al Reuter, Kyle Mueller, Kyle Schipper and Jake Reiff are enrolled in the EMT-Basic program sponsored by NICC. This class is being instructed by Lieutenant Jeff Sanderfield of the Dubuque Fire Department. Classroom instruction is being held at the Epworth Fire Station with clinical training being conducted at the local hospitals.

Tim Schmidt and Kelly Rosenow are currently enrolled in the Paramedic Specialist program at NICC. This is a highly specialized program that challenges the individual. This 2 year program advances their EMT-Basic skills and knowledge. After hundreds of hours of classroom and clinical time, they will be able to provide the best advanced pre hospital emergency care a person can receive.

We want to thank theses individuals for taking the time needed to help make the Epworth Fire Department stronger, and to their families, for allowing them to be away from home for so long. Thank you!
