Contracts were awarded to Epic Construction of Dubuque for the building contract, to Horsfield Construction for the concrete and curb contract, and Top Grade Excavating for the storm sewer contract.
Debt Impact: Property owners with a home value of $100,000 would see an increase to the debt levy equivalent to $35 for the first year payment toward the land payment, USDA loan, and the bonds sold.
The referendum passed with 88.5% approval to finance a portion of the cost of a new fire station facility. The new facility will also house City Hall, a meeting room to double as Council Chambers, and a conference room. The existing facility will be utilized by the public works and police departments.
