| On Sunday March 15th, the Epworth Fire Department held a station blessing. Past Epworth firefighter and paramedic, Father Bobby Jones SVD, officiated the ceremony. Father Bob is currently Chaplin of the Boston Fire Department. Over 100 people attended the ceremony, which included active firefighters, honorary firefighters, rural board members and city council members along with their families.
Fr. Bob Jones or Bobby, as we like to call him, was a very active member in the over 10 years he was with the Epworth Fire Department. Bobby attained Firefighter I, Paramedic and also served as President of the department during his time with the department. Fr Bob made a very big impact on the department. Many of his ideas are still practiced today. Bobby invited all members to his house, and yes, you need a boat to get to it. Many thanks Bobby! |
