Epworth Fire Department responds to vehicle vs tractor accident

At approximately 11:38 a.m. on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, Epworth Fire and Ambulance were paged out by Dubuque County Dispatch for a motor vehicle accident involving a truck and a tractor. Both vehicles were southbound on Gun Club Road just north of Dyersville East Rd. The tractor was turning into a field drive and was rear ended by truck. Occupant of the truck was removed from the vehicle by the driver of the tractor. The truck caught fire upon impact and is considered a total loss. Both patients refused treatment and transport to the hospital and were released at the scene. Epworth units extinguished the fire, cleaned up accident scene and returned back to service. The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa State Patrol were on scene and investigated the accident.
