Motor Vehicle Crash on 20 at North Cascade Road

On Friday, February 10th, 2017 the Dubuque County E911 Center received a call at 5:06 pm of a two vehicle crash at Highway 20 and North Cascade Road with entrapment and minor injuries. The initial report was for one patient refusing an ambulance. After the arrival of the Dubuque County Sheriffs Office it was determined there was one patient trapped in the vehicle and EMS was needed to check on the patient. Epworth EMS, Fire and Rescue were dispatched at 5:17 p.m. A total of three patients were involved in the accident with non-life threatening injuries. Two patients were transported by Ambulances 751 and 752 to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque and the driver of the other vehicle was transported by Centralia-Peosta Ambulance 451 to Unity-Point Finley in Dubuque. Traffic was slowed for over an hour during the incident and the subsequent clean up. The accident remains under investigation by the Dubuque County Sheriffs Office. Per policy - no names will be released by the Epworth Fire Department.
