At 1:45 PM on Sunday, December 14th, 2014 Epworth Fire and Ambulance was paged out for a 2 car, motor vehicle collision on Highway 20 at Dutch Lane with multiple patients. A truck heading North on Dutch Lane collided with an SUV heading West on Highway 20. There were multiple people in the SUV. Ambulances from Centrailia-Peosta and Farley assisted two Epworth Ambulances in transporting patients to area hospitals. Foggy weather conditions may have played a factor in the mvc. All patients were conscious and appeared to have mainly minor injuries. Usage of seatbelts and properly used child restraint seats minimized the injuries. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. There appeared to be no major injuries. Epworth Fire will not release the names or conditions of any of the patients. Firefighters remained on the scene for about an hour assisting with traffic.
