The Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen, INC, a 501(c)3 non profit corporation has been awarded a $5,000.00 Dubuque Racing Association Grant to upgrade the cardiac/monitor defibrillator in the ambulance. The award was announced at the monthly DRA meeting on 5-16-2017. The new, state of the art, cardiac monitor will replace a unit that is not capable of transmitting patient information directly to the hospital and has been in service for over 15 years. The total cost of the project is over $27,000. The firefighters corporation will use recent donations and memorials as well proceeds from the upcoming dance that will be held on May 26th, 2017 to cover the remaining cost. The Dubuque Racing Association, through contributions from Q Casino and the Diamond Jo Casino are instrumental in allowing us to update life saving equipment for our volunteer ambulance service. Since 1995, the DRA has awarded the Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen nearly $120,000.00. THANK YOU DRA!!!!
